The Sony PS5 is Going to be the Most Powerful Console of all Time

While it is currently unknown what the PS5 will look like and what its technical specifications will be, there are many fan-made concepts online, but one concept in particular is breathtaking and Sony should take notes.

On his MaDz Gaming YouTube Channel, a gamer decided to put their own creative input into the mix with a visually stunning render of what they’d like to see the next Sony PlayStation 5 console look like. He even provided the list of features the PS5 would have, release plans and more, so let’s take a look at them below.

Public unveiling and release plans

Public unveiling of PS5 hardware roadmap tentatively scheduled for February 21st 2019. Final hardware reveal date not yet decided, several dates from August to September 2019 possible (Gamescom, TSG).

PS5 release date for Japan and United States is planned for November 16th 2019. Second tier regions (Europe and Australia) planned for release November 23rd 2019, worlwide no later than December 7th 2019.

PlayStation 25 Year Anniversary Limited Edition to be released on December 3rd 2019 (Pre-orders from Nov 16th 2019).

Insight into the Design Process

The Inspiration for the PS5 design is derived from the success of its predecessors. With the overall shape and slanted front derived from the PS4 and the ridges, power button and eject button as a heritage from the PS2.

The top cover is meant to be user replaceable to allow for branding and user customization.
