Hurricane Florence latest: Trump goes BALLISTIC with Twitter warnings

DONALD Trump has sent a series of tweets about Hurricane Florence charging towards the United States urging people to be “ready and prepared” and reminding locals the storm is "extremely dangerous".

The hurricane is expected to begin making landfall today, Thursday September 13 as more than 1.5 million people are ordered to evacuate their homes in the US.
Mr Trump said: “Hurricane Florence is looking even bigger than anticipated. It will be arriving soon. FEMA, First Responders and Law Enforcement are supplied and ready. Be safe!”
The comments came after the storm had been downgraded from a category four hurricane to a category two one.
Although the storm continues to pose a serious threat of flooding, its windspeed has reduced.

The US President tweeted: “Hurricane Florence may now be dipping a bit south and hitting a portion of the Great State of Georgia. Be ready, be prepared.”

Mr Trump added: “It is imperative that everyone follow local evacuation orders. This storm is extremely dangerous. Be safe.”
Hurricane Florence has been heading towards the US East Coast sparking evacuations from North Carolina to Virginia.
Meteorologists have warned it could soon force authorities to issue a tornado watch on the North and South Carolinas coast.

On ABC news earlier this week, Mr Trump warned Americans about a “tremendously big and tremendously wet” hurricane this week.
Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland have all declared a state of emergency.
In a tweet on Thursday, September 13, the National Hurricane Centre wrote: “Do not focus on the wind speed category of #Hurricane #Florence! Life-threatening storm surge flooding, catastrophic flash flooding and prolonged significant river flooding are still expected.”
Experts have claimed that the rain and flood waters from Hurricane Florence, rather than its speed, are the real sources of danger.
He claimed the Democrats had inflated the official death toll to “make me look as bad as possible”.
Mr Trump wrote on Monday, September 10: “My people just informed me that this is one of the worst storms to hit the East Coast in many years. Also, looking like a direct hit on North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Please be prepared, be careful and be SAFE.”
